Semolina cake with lemon cardamom syrup

Semolina is the great-grandparents to our modern versions of wheat. It thrives in dryer climates, and when baked into a cake really benefits from a soak of honey or in this case a bright and perfume-y syrup once it comes out of the oven. Use up all those over ripe local berries that are languishing in your fridge with a slice of this guy for breakfast.
